Last night I went out with the American Idol gang. Candy took some pictures, and I hope to post about that soon. In the meantime, the lovely Erika, winner of the Senseo coffee maker has been kind enough to send in her review of the product. Take it away Erika...
The Senseo – a Review
Thanks to the Chronicles of Nat, I am now the proud owner of a lovely Red Senseo coffee maker. Granted, this is not an item I would have ever purchased on my own accord. I was perfectly happy with my $10 Proctor Silex. But, after using it a few times this past weekend, I really like the Senseo and have put my $10 junker into the yard sale pile!
I will say that I don’t think the Senseo necessarily saves any time in the kitchen, but for a household of one, it is a much easier system than scooping out a small amount of coffee, figuring out how much water you need, etc. etc. The little pods are so easy to use, and the coffee turns out perfectly. I find that one pod works perfectly for my Fiestaware tea cup. You can also use two pods for a large mug of coffee. The Senseo heats up quickly, and it takes about 1 minute to get your first cup.
The coffee pods are a little pricey, but I think it’s worth it for the convenience factor. And, since I only drink coffee at home on the weekends, the pods will last a good while for me.
On a scale of 1-10, I give the Senseo an 8.8!
