First Day Back

Hello 2015! It's six days in and I've yet to post a thing. Apparently 2015 is off to a lazy start. What can I say? Yesterday (Monday) was my first day back in the "real world" after two and a half weeks off from work for surgery and Christmas break. Overall, it went okay, there's nothing really I can complain about. I thought the chirp of the alarm clock at 5:00 a.m. would be tough but I actually got up with no problem at all and even made it out the door on time. There was a lot of catching up to do at work since I had not turned on my computer once in the days I was away, but I didn't get overwhelmed which was my goal. I made it through the day without crawling under my desk for a nap which is quite an accomplishment for someone who spent most of her time off sleeping.

After work, I went home and got some things gathered up to take to Bible study. This week our ladies Bible study group kicked off the new year with a new study and I think we are all going to love it. We had some great conversation and I think we could have talked all night, but about 8:30 p.m. I cut everyone off so we could do prayer requests and get out the door by 9:00 p.m.

By the time I got home from Bible study, I was pretty worn out and my knee was a little sore. I'm quite sure I walked more on Monday that I have on any one day since my surgery. The facility where I work is quite huge and we have concrete floors so the combination of the two was a little much for my reentry to the world. So, I elevated and iced my knee when I was finally in for the night which helped immensely because when I woke up Tuesday my knee was no longer sore, thank goodness. I suspect this will be my routine for a while, or at least until my knee gets used to walking long distances again.

There's really not much else to say about the first few days of 2015. I spent New Year's Day sleeping and that's not much of an exaggeration. I was asleep more than I was awake. This is one of the things I hate about New Year's Day because while I do love to nap, I don't like to sleep the whole day away and inevitably when I stay up on New Year's Eve, I spend all of New Year's Day recovering. This is called getting old. Pippa was rather worn out too and she slept even more than I did. We were quite the pair. We did a lot of sleeping on the 2nd as well because we were up late watching a certain football game on the 1st. So, I guess I could sum up the first few days of the year by saying I slept through them. Hopefully that won't be the case for the remainder of the year, although technically speaking, I wouldn't mind a nap right about now.

Since Christmas and The Last Post of 2014

The problem with Christmas break is that I'm not keen on picking up a computer while I'm off work and also, most of the days are all the same and so there's really not a lot to write about. Alas, I figured I needed to churn out one last post for 2014. Can you believe this is it? The last day of 2014? I hope it was a good year for you and your family.

I never got around to posting anything about Christmas, but we had a good one. On Christmas Eve, my parents hosted their annual breakfast and we had some new faces and old faces in attendance. That evening we had Christmas with my granddad and then went out on the town to look at Christmas lights. Unfortunately, it was raining and so we weren't able to make a scheduled stop at the Tinsel Trail.

Christmas Day I went over to my parents' house around noon and the three of us had Christmas together. Justin wasn't able to join us because he is once again at The Way and had not been there long enough to get a pass home; but, we still had an enjoyable time despite being a family member short. I think everyone liked their gifts, or at least I hope so. That evening around 5:00 p.m. my aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandmother came over for Parker Christmas. We had dinner, watched the little kids and my grandmother open presents and played a game of Dirty Santa which was basically a gift card exchange. However, in a turn of events, we actually drew names for next Christmas which I'm really excited about because Dirty Santa has become kind of boring and I look forward to seeing what gifts people will choose for the name they drew. The rules are no gift cards and you have to come up with a gift without asking the person what the would like. So, it should be a fun and interesting exchange of gifts.

The day after Christmas I went out with my dad to check out the after Christmas sales and pick up some door prizes for our New Year;s Eve Party. We also knocked out some other errands including having one of my tires repaired as I had a nail or screw in it from my grandmother's new neighborhood where they are still building houses.

Saturday I ran some more errands and saw "Into The Woods" which was okay but not as good as I had hoped. I loved the music though. Sunday was church and that evening my dad and I made a quick trip to Pulaski and back. The grandfather of a friend had passed away and we went up for the visitation. While we were there we ran into some other people we know from the area because as it always turns out, we can't go anywhere without running into someone we know.

Monday I stopped by the grocery store and went to see "Unbroken". I also picked up some shoe bags for the back of a couple of doors and wow, what a great decision that was. I can now see the bottom of my closet and close the door and I can also see all my shoes. This decision came about because I recently came across two or three pairs of shoes I forgot I even owned and they had been buried in the deep dark depths of my closet for so long that they had mold growing on them which is unfortunate because they were great pairs of shoes. I should not have this problem again as I can now see all of my shoes.

Tuesday I put away the Christmas stuff and got the house back in some semblance of order. I went to a late lunch with my sweet friend Pat and we were able to catch up on all that is going on in our lives and at the church  I used to attend. Then I came home and watched copious amounts of football while preparing some dishes for the New Year's Eve Party.

That brings us to today, New Year;s Eve, December 31, the last day of 2014! All in all, 2014 wasn't a bad year. I wouldn't say it was a spectacular year, but it certainly wasn't bad. I traveled as far west as I've ever been back in March when I went to Hawaii with my dad and brother. I took a few road trips to Louisville for the PGA Championship, to Gatlinburg for a girls weekend, to Memphis for a Pearl Jam concert and to New Orleans for the Sugar Bowl. I saw the beginning of some great new friendships and the end of some older ones. I attempted to play softball after many years of not playing, and wrote my 1,000th post back in February and the fewest amount of posts since my first year of blogging - go figure. I threw out the first pitch at a Huntsville Stars game ( in their last season no less), I saw Sarah Palin speak and Pippa turned one and has grown up and settled down quite a bit. I worked the polls (five times this year), ran some races, and had knee surgery. Really, when I look back, I guess a lot happened in 2014.

I hope 2014 was good to you and your family and more importantly, I hope we all have a very good and fun 2015! Happy New Year, my friends!

It's The End of 2013 As We Know It

The year 2013 is drawing to a close, and I, for one, could not be more grateful. This has been, quite possibly, the worst year I've lived through and I'm really glad to see this one go. I've been to more funerals or funeral home visitations in this one year than in my whole life I'm quite sure. I lost track of the number of deaths of close friends, acquaintances and family members, but I do know that I went to a funeral or a funeral home visitation at least once every month of this year and most months it was multiple times.

In addition to people, I also experience the death of my beloved pet and longtime companion The Tide. She is still missed every single day, but I am grateful to have had her in my life.

It was a year that saw my brother fall back into addiction and once again enter a rehab program to get clean. Let's pray that he sticks with it this time because I'm not sure how much more we as his family can take.

Many other things happened in 2013; for example, my shed blew away and then my dad and Buddy built me a better one. I had a few weekends with my little cousin Sydney when she would stay with me on Saturday and go to church with me on Sundays.I went white water rafting with the church group and didn't fall out of the boat. I started working with a personal trainer at the gym and have been able to tell a difference in the way I feel and in my strength. This has been one of the very best decisions I have made this year.

There were some positives this year... I took my first trip to the West Coast, visiting California with my dad in May. I got a promotion at work. My granddad gave me a down payment so that I could purchase a newer vehicle. I took an impromptu trip to Dallas and saw a fabulous Pearl Jam concert. I also saw Dave Matthews and Michael Buble in concert.  I acquired a new puppy and while this isn't always a positive thing, I think she is going to turn out to be a good dog and I'm sure we will have many adventures together.

The year 2013 has been full of ups and downs, and really, more downs. It's been challenging and difficult and often an uphill climb; but, as the saying goes, what doesn't kill us will make us stronger.

Thanks for following along in 2013. Here's hoping that 2014 will be a much more positive and uplifting year for all of us!

Back to the Grind

It was back to the grind for me today as I went back to work after 11 days off.  I've got to say, though, I was quite ready to get back to a regular routine as I was beginning to get quite bored being at home. We had inventory at work today and will continue it tomorrow which means we spent the day counting widgets in between checking emails and responding to customer requests. All in all, it was a nice first day back and the day went by rather quickly which was also nice.

New Year's Day was nothing to brag about. After staying up til midnight and then driving home and finally getting in bed around 12:30 a.m., I slept in until 8:15 or so which is exceptionally late for me. Then I spent the rest of the day watching football and sleeping and eating. I should probably be ashamed to admit that I did not even bother to shower the whole day. After being lazy and spending most of the day in a deep sleep, the next thing I knew it was early evening and I figured, what was the point. It's not like I was planning on leaving the house. This is what I hate most about New Year's Day - some people probably love the laziness of the day but I find the lack of productivity to be completely annoying. I had grand plans of taking down the Christmas decorations but it rained all day and I didn't want to drag things from the shed to the house and vice versa in the rain. So, the day was completely unproductive and wasted. I also didn't eat any black-eyed peas for the first New Year's Day in I don't know how long - hopefully I'll have a bit of good luck in spite of this mishap.

Our New Year's Eve dinner was a success and was enjoyed by all in attendance, with the exception of my brother who had a bit of a stomach bug. I was pretty pooped by the time midnight rolled around as I had been up since 6:30 and had no nap during the day. Midnight is not an hour I see on a regular basis. After the stroke of 12, The Tide and I hit the road home which always makes me nervous because undoubtedly there are a lot of drunks on the road leaving their respective parties. I did not see the first firework, but heard plenty, especially the ones downtown which when standing in the driveway of my parents' home sounded like bombs over Baghdad.

So far I have no grand plans for the next few days; as luck would have it, the first weekend of the new year will be spent at the funeral home. It sure seems like I spend more and more time there the older I get. I guess that's life's course though. So, if I can't think of much else to write about over the next couple of days I will try my best to put up a movie review or two because some of you might want to visit the theater over the weekend and there are definitely some films out now that you will not want to miss.

Hope your 2013 is off to a roaring start!

My dad and the late Coach Glen Nunley, one of my all time favorites!

Happy New Year 2013!

Happy New Year! Is it just me or does a year ending in 13 seem strange? I once worked with a man who would not leave his home on the 13th of the month because he was superstitious. I'm wondering what he's going to do for this whole year? Will he stay in his house the whole year or will he dare face number 13 in the face? I guess I'll never know.

Here's to hoping 2013 will be a really memorable year for all of us! I certainly hope it brings you all the happiness you good fortune you deserve!

The Last Post of 2012

So, I just realized, after my college roomie asked in the comments section, that I never told you that yes, my dad did in fact find the missing money. Actually my brother found it. It was in my dad's office under some bills or something along those lines. Oddly enough I had looked through that same pile but apparently didn't pay very close attention.

As mentioned, I was on vacation all of last week as well as today and tomorrow and I have been busy and bored at various times. The day after Christmas we had some family photos made with my dad's parents. My cousin Alexandra took the photos and was patient and kind throughout the whole fiasco. Bless her heart, she is a much better person than I - I'm pretty sure if I was the photographer I would have snapped. She brought the photos on a disk to me at church yesterday and I have yet to look at them. I'm sure they are lovely. We had planned on doing the photos outside, but the weather didn't cooperate.

Also during my time off I saw four movies - Lincoln, Skyfall, Les Mis and The Hobbit. I must say, of the four, The Hobbit was my favorite. It did not seem like three hours in the least. It honestly seemed more like 30 minutes. Perhaps I will review these in the coming days because January is sure to be boring.

I also re-watched all 16 episodes of Downton Abbey in all of two days. I wanted to make sure I could remember everything in anticipation of season three which starts this coming Sunday. I have also started, but not yet finished my Lord of the Rings marathon which takes place twice a year. I'm a creature of habit, what can I say? I also managed to make it to the gym which has been a blessing and will hopefully motivate me to keep it up because it has been great to get some workouts in.

Today, New Year's Eve, my dad and I are cooking our annual dinner of prime rib for the family and a couple of close friends. Hopefully this year there will be no unforeseen trips to the hospital. I'll spend the rest of my dad preparing for the dinner and then, of course, eating the dinner. We are also going to make some caramel corn tonight. I made some the weekend before Christmas and it turned out so well.

Tomorrow I hope to finally take down the Christmas decorations because although I am still enjoying the lights of the Christmas tree, they will soon be on my nerves and it's better to just go ahead and take everything down before that happens.

I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who stopped by in 2012 and I look forward to sharing more ridiculous and boring stories with you in 2013!

I certainly hope you all have a safe and happy New Year's Eve and may 2013 be every bit as wonderful as you wish for it to be!

I Am the Master of Uno

The continuation of my New Year’s Eve (read part one here)

After the adventurous day with my dad and getting my mother home, I went over to Jackie’s to visit with her and the kids a bit before heading back home to an unruly kitchen and a pie that still needed to be made.

When I headed out, there was a truck blocking the road I needed to get on. The truck finally moved up the road and as it was going up to the highway, I noticed what looked like a piece of car flying towards my car. As it turns out, that truck it a SUV coming down the mountain and the side view mirror was what came flying towards me. I stopped and talked to the people in the SUV and then drove off to get the license plate number of the truck; but thankfully the truck turned around to go back to the scene of the crime. I think those folks had already hit the bottle.

Jackie had made a spread of finger foods but I wasn’t hungry thanks to the hospital beef stroganoff. I did have a couple of brownies before I left for the night and they were delectable. Our friend Maria was there as well as her dog Ally. The kids were wound up in anticipation of the New Year, complete with noise makers. They were loud and rambunctious and hyped up on life. It was quite entertaining.

Troy showed me some of his new Lego sets and then he brought out his new Harry Potter Uno game and it was Game On! We played probably 10 rounds or so and I won… wait for it… two! He beat my butt and even made up a little song about it! He declared himself the Master of Uno! And indeed, he was. I got beat by a nine year old – many times, people; many times!

Jackie then got out a couple of decks of cards and we set in for a few rounds of Nertz, which is a game we played when we were kids. I think we each won three games. I really can’t remember the exact count, but we were in full on concentration mode and were having to push the kids out of the way and tell them to hush so we could concentrate.

Around 8:30 I had to call it a night because The Tide had not been out for a bathroom break since I left the house a little after noon. I would have loved to stay longer so that I could become the Master of Uno; but, alas it was not meant to be. My dog needed some attention. We popped open the sparkling grape juice before I left to celebrate the New Year and the taste brought Jackie and I back to our youth when we were quarantined to a bedroom with a set of rented VHS tapes and only summoned out a few minutes before midnight to toast in the New Year. I then headed home and was thankful to avoid any drunks on the road.

It wasn’t the New Year’s celebration we had planned, but it was good nonetheless. We were blessed that nothing major was wrong with my dad and it was fun and enjoyable to spend some time with the kids beating my butt at Uno. Hope your New Year’s was really great! All the best to you and yours in 2012!

My New Year's Eve

I don’t know about you, but my New Year’s Eve certainly didn’t turn out a thing like expected. For the past couple of years, my dad and I have cooked a nice dinner for our family and a few close friends and it was decided that we would do the same this year. My dad was going to cook prime rib and I was in charge of everything else, which was to be a green salad, potatoes Romanoff, steamed shredded brussel sprouts and lemon pound cake and egg nog cream pie.

I woke up around 7:00 on Saturday morning and immediately started to work in the kitchen. I first made the pound cake and then started on the potatoes which had to be shredded – that food processor is a dream come true for this lover of cooking. I got the brussel sprouts shredded and the salad made and cooked some bacon for the salad and thought I was doing pretty well. Around 11:00 I left the house to pick up a pizza I had ordered from Sam and Greg’s because I didn’t want to make myself lunch when I was already making myself dinner – or something like that.

On the way back from the pizzeria, my mom called. My dad had taken himself to the hospital because he was having chest pains. The doctor didn’t like the first EKG and so was going to wait a bit and do another one. My dad had tried to call me so I called him and asked what was going on. He told me the same and that he didn’t want anyone coming down there. A nurse came in to draw blood which cut our conversation short. I ate my pizza and mom my called back. I told her that we were cancelling the dinner and postponing it to either Sunday or Monday.

Not long after talking to her she called a couple of more times with updates and then called to say that the doctor thought my dad was trying to have a heart attack and that they were going to do a heart cath. I took a quick shower, called Jackie to meet me at my parents’ house and drove over there myself to help my mom get dressed and take her down to the hospital.

I was the first to arrive then a couple of ladies from the church my parents attend and then Jackie. We all managed to get mother dressed. A husband of one of the ladies put mother in her wheelchair and Jackie and I packed a small bag with some snacks and sodas. Mother and I were then on our way.

By the time we finally got to the hospital, the heart cath was over and the arteries were really clean – great news! No heart attack! Even better news! Apparently the chest pains had something to do with upper GI problems. My dad has ulcerative colitis and that probably has something to do with it. It may also be ulcers. He will have to have an endoscopy sometime soon.

They moved my dad to a room and soon after visitors trickled in. Thanks to all of you friends who stopped by and all you family too! I would name everyone but then might forget someone and I would feel bad so a BIG thanks to all who came – your love and support did not go unnoticed! Also a BIG thanks to all who prayed or called to check in. We really appreciate it all!

My mom and I headed back to the house around 4:30 but first stopped in the hospital cafĂ© to have some dinner of beef stroganoff and green beans and you know what, it wasn’t bad at all. I got mother home and her nightgown on her and some friends were going to stop by and help her get in the bed. I do not have the strength to lift her one iota. I can maybe lift one leg. My granddad, her dad, came over to spend the night with her and I left to do a little celebrating with Jackie and the kids.

To be continued...

My Christmas Vacation

I’ve been on vacation this week, which has been a nice break from the day to day activities of work. Our plant shut down this week and so there’s not anything going on that I’m missing which is also nice because there won’t be a lot of missed work to catch up on when I go back on Tuesday, January 3.

On Monday, I went to the gym and had big plans to go to the grocery store, but decided to wait until later in the week because I wasn’t quite sure what all I needed yet. I did manage to stop by Wal-Mart and pick up some baking supplies which they had marked down as well as some red bows for my wreaths. I get new bows for the wreaths each year and so it’s always nice to get that half off. After coming home and showering, Willie and Jackie stopped by with Willie’s dog Zoey. Willie wanted a play date with The Tide even though I wasn’t quite sure about it because The Tide doesn’t really get along with other dogs. They stayed for about an hour or so and we were able to chat while Zoey slept in the chair with Jackie and The Tide stayed on the couch with me. The Tide wasn’t very thrilled with Zoey invading her territory but thankfully no blood was drawn.

Not long after they left, I got a wind of motivation and decided to finally start the kitchen project that has been in the work for months now. I painted the wall where my cabinets are a turquoise color. I got three coats on the bottom before calling it a night. On Tuesday morning, I painted the wall above the cabinets. That evening, my dad and I went to the Huntsville Times Classic and watched a couple of basketball games. When I got home, I decided the cabinets needed a new coat of paint and I started on that.

Wednesday morning I woke up not feeling too great. My stomach was upset; it had actually started not feeling so great on Tuesday night. I went on to the gym and when I got home finished painting the cabinets, all the while dealing with my upset stomach. About midday is when I started hugging the toilet for the rest of the day. Thankfully I had the foresight not to eat anything or it could have been a lot worse than it was. Some friends from church brought me some Gingerale after church on Wednesday night and it was such a blessing because when I am sick that is usually the one thing I want the most and there was no way I could have gone out and gotten it myself.

Today (Thursday) I have felt a lot better and have drank a lot of Gingerale and eaten a lot of Saltine Crackers. I also braved the waters and ate some rice and cream of chicken soup as well as some pineapple. So far, so good. I also managed to get the kitchen back in order. It’s always a sure sign that I’m feeling better when my out of order house is driving me bonkers. On Wednesday I didn’t care how out of order things were.

Friday I have big plans of putting away the Christmas decorations, taking a trip to the gym, visiting my brother, finally going to the grocery store and getting the house in order. I may also go to the movies to see The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. It depends on how worn out I am by the time evening rolls around. Saturday I’ll be preparing for the New Year’s Eve dinner my dad and I are cooking for family and friends. So, hopefully I will be feeling much better the remainder of my vacation.

I hope you and your family have a happy and safe new year’s celebration!

Happy New Year!

Welcome back readers, or should I say welcome back to myself since it is I who has been gone for the past week or so. I had good intentions of updating a couple of times during my vacation last week but they all went awry when I opted for being completely and totally unproductive instead. I do hope you will forgive me. I was so unproductive in fact that my sleep pattern is off kilter and I will truly be missing my afternoon nap come 1:00 or so today.

I plan to upload some Christmas pictures to share with you this week since I should have done that last week. We had a white Christmas in Huntsville! It was really pretty and a shocker to most everyone. The weather forecasters predicted a dusting and we actually ended up with five inches or so.

I’ve added a countdown to the 2011 Tour de France way down at the bottom of the page. As I’m sure you know, I’m headed to France for the last week of the Tour. I tried to make a countdown until my departure but haven’t found one I like yet so for now I’m sticking with the countdown to the Tour. On the left hand side of the page I added a clock with the current time in Paris on it as well. In regards to my trip to France, I have some bad news to report. It looks like Jackie will not be able to join me after all. We were both really hoping she would be able to go but sometimes things don’t work out like we want and God has other plans for us instead. So, for now, I’ll truly be flying solo on the solo-moon. (I’m not sure if I’ve used this term here or not but since the trip to France was originally intended to be a honeymoon and now there is no wedding, it is often referred to as the solo-moon – get it?). My dad had briefly talked about joining me if Jackie couldn’t go but I have a feeling he’s going to back out too. Regardless, I’m sure I’ll have a great time either with someone or without. The only problem is if I am without there will be no pictures of me. That’s kind of sad.

So, that’s about it for the first post of 2011. I realize it’s not the most interesting or informative post that’s ever been written, but I did want to let you know that I am still alive and hope to have some more interesting posts in the days and weeks to come.

Until then, Happy New Year, readers! I hope 2011 brings you lots of happiness.

New Year’s Resolutions?

Who out there makes New Year’s Resolutions? I have never really done this. From what I always hear on the news, only 6% of people that make resolutions actually follow through with them. I guess one of the reasons I don’t make resolutions is that I don’t want to set myself up for failure. Who knows?

This year is no different. I haven’t made any resolutions of losing 100 pounds or anything drastic like that. Often in life, however, I have set goals for myself. I feel like if I set a few obtainable goals, that I am more likely to accomplish those than to actually make a “resolution”.

So, having said that, the goal I have set for myself is to read the Bible in full this year. I have been attending church my whole life and this is something that I have never actually done – cover to cover per se. I’m sad to say that this goal actually came about by accident. And I’m seven sadder to say that I’ve got to give some credit to Tim Tebow – the one man in America I get sick of hearing about. You see, on January 1, Florida was playing Cincinnati in the Sugar Bowl and Tim Tebow had scripture in his eye black as he always does; and I as I always do, I decided to look up the verse and read the message that young Tebow wanted to relay to all of America. Then, all of a sudden it hit me! Today is January 1 and if I start today I can be a daily Bible reader every day this year and I can read through the Bible.

A couple of years ago on my birthday, my parents got me a Daily Bible, which puts the Bible in chronological order by how it was written. It also has explanations of things that are going on during the time of the writing and helps break down the scripture for you. So, I grabbed up my Daily Bible and read the passage and explanations for January 1 and I am happy to say that I have done this so far every day this year. The Daily Bible provides a layout for reading through the Bible in one year and it puts the Bible into a new perspective. Check it out if you get a chance.

How about you? Have you set any goals for yourself this year? Let’s hear about them!

Welcome 2010!

Happy 2010! Can you believe it is already 2010? It seems just like yesterday that we were welcoming in 2000, and now it is already a decade later. Amazing! Time really does fly by when you get older.

I hope that everyone had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year as well. I had a wonderful Christmas. I should have brought in some photos to share with you all, but I just didn’t think about it. I got the coat I asked for from Santa and Tony gave me an iPod, which I desperately needed since my old one pooped out on me. He also gave me a Cornelia Marie hoodie, which was a great surprise and I love it! For those of you who may not know, I love Deadliest Catch on Discovery Channel and the Cornelia Marie is one of the boats on the show.

For New Year’s Eve, my dad and I cooked a dinner of Beef Tenderloin, twice baked potatoes and fruit salad. It was really yummy if I do say so myself. The dinner ended with Red Velvet Cake or Apple Dumplings. Most people had both.

I spent the last week at home in my pajamas and that’s not much of an exaggeration. I went to a basketball tournament with my dad last Monday, but other than that, I didn’t really get out much. I just stayed in and watched a ton of football, which was wonderful. It was so nice to not have anything pressing to do and I really enjoyed the time off from work as well.

Tony and I saw a couple of movies since I last posted – Up In The Air, and Sherlock Holmes. With any luck, I’ll post a review this week.

Tomorrow night I start my photography class and my friends Lisa and Candy will also be there. I’m sure it will be interesting and it might even give me something to write about.

In the meantime, I would like to say Welcome Back, Sara! My friend Sara has a blog and until last week, she had not blogged since before Thanksgiving. If I had not seen her at church, I might wonder if she were alive. If you want to check in on her adventures, check her out at:

Another blog to check out is my friend Candy’s blog. She hasn’t updated in a while either, but if you want to look in on the life of a little person raising a tall person; check out Candy at: http://www.thelamicabunch.blogspot.com/

Until next time…

Merry Christmas!

Today is my last day of work in 2009! I am really looking forward to some time off. As many of you know, I don’t have internet at home because I’m too cheap to pay for it when it is readily available for me to use all day long while at work. So, needless to say, there probably won’t be much blogging here on The Chronicles of Nat in the next week or so.

In the meantime, I would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and the Happiest of New Year’s! I hope Santa brings you lots of goodies and I hope that 2010 will be a blessing to you and your family! Thanks for reading along; I appreciate all your support!
