Well, folks, I think I found the garden thief. Have a look.
It would appear as though this little rabbit is the one who has been eating my tomatoes. Even the netting won't keep it out. I haven't seen it for a couple of days - ever since I snapped this photo. Maybe it's camera shy and won't come back. Here's to hoping.

when i grew strawberrys on my front portch birds allways came and ate ate them all, it was so dissapointing- what i did because they were potted i moved them into my house for awile untill they just left and then we put it back up and the birds never came back- maybe you can move your tomatoes inside but you micht have to pot them and then see of the bunny comes back.
another time i had a raseberry patch and bees came buzzing all over the place and once, a rabbit came and it scared the bees away.
