It’s Friday – my favorite day of the work week and probably yours too. I actually think Friday is my overall favorite day of the week. I usually am able to leave work earlier than normal; I get my grocery shopping done and am able to catch up on some of the shows I have stored in the DVR. As of now, I don’t have any big plans for the evening. There are a couple of movies opening this weekend that I would like to see, but haven’t decided yet if I want to venture out to the theater and fight the opening night crowds. Tomorrow I think my dad and I are making an early morning fishing trip which should definitely be interesting and then tomorrow evening is Ashlyn’s dance recital, which is always a lot of fun.
Since I don’t have much to write about today, I thought I might show you some pictures from my phone; but then I realized that I had already shared almost every single one of them. A few are too gruesome too share (post surgical foot for example). I did, however come across a couple I thought were rather funny.
The first is a photo of The Tide sitting on top of “her chair” looking out the front door as best she can considering it is closed. When The Tide hears something outside that she wants to check out, she will often sit on top of the chair to get a better look. This happens most often when the door is closed. I guess she looks in the gap between the blinds in the door and the window in the door. She will move her head around to get the best angle and it never ceases to crack me up.

The second photo is of my dad and my parents’ new dog, Scout. I haven’t written much about Scout since he came into the family, but he is quite a character. He’s very mischievous and is always up to something. He likes to be the center of attention at all times and is less than thrilled when he’s put in his play pen when other people are in the room. Scout and my dad have become big buddies – in other words, Scout is my dad’s dog and my mom gets to participate in Scout’s life every now and then (right, Mother?). Scout loves to sleep on my dad’s chest, which is also quite a hilarious sight and even funnier knowing that not too many years ago my dad said he would never have an inside dog. Oh how the times have changed.
Hope everyone has a great weekend! Try to stay cool if you can!

Those are great pics! I love The Tide's perch on her chair :)
I must say that the Parker family dogs have made me appreciate the furry little things more than I used to.
Scout and your dad crack me up.
Cute pics. Your mom took pictures of all of us with the puppy when I went over to notarize something for her. It cracked me!
My parents said they'd never have a house dog, either and now they are approaching 14 years of living with Tinkerbelle! Cute pics
