For a while now, I have been anxiously watching the comments trickle in wondering when and who would be the 100th commenter here on The Chronicles of Nat. A few months ago when I realized that the blog would breach the 1,000th mark some time this year, I decided I would have a surprise giveaway for the 1,000th commenter.
Well, if you haven’t guessed it already, the blog received its 1,000th comment this past Friday morning. I’ve got to tell you. I was watching closely and often because I was so curious to find out who it would be. For a long time I felt really confident that it would be Erika, because, let’s face it, she’s my most loyal commenter (Thanks, girl!). Erika was, as is usually the case, the first commenter on Thursday – comment #999 – and so then I anxiously awaited the next comment to come in – comment #1,000!
Friday morning, I put up a post and still no one else had commented. I was stuck at #999 and felt for sure that Erika would read Friday’s post, make a comment and become the 1,000th commenter here at The Chronicles of Nat; but, I was wrong.
Not long after I put up Friday’s post, someone commented on Thursday’s post. It was the 1,000th comment and it was by none other than my lovely friend, Kimberly, who wrote “She is just like a kid...wanting all the attention!! I hope you are able to get your house back in order this weekend!”
I saw Kimberly at church this past Sunday (she lives in Tennessee and was visiting) and told her I missed her commenting on my blog and it has paid off for her. Congrats, Kimberly on being the 1000th commenter on The Chronicles of Nat. I’m sending a $10 Amazon Gift Card your way.
I’ve got one more surprise up my sleeve today. Since Erika is my most loyal commenter and to be quite honest I really thought she would end up with the 1,000th comment – hey, the odds were in her favor – I’ve got a gift for her as well – a $10 gift certificate to Steak Out. Hopefully you can use it when night when you don’t feel like cooking. Congrats!

AHHHHHHH!!! I totally checked my email before and saw the gift card before this blog post!! I then had to rush over here to figure out what it was all about. How exciting!!!!!! I just started buying things on Amazon and let me tell you...I'm addicted!! Thanks soooooo much!! Also congrats to Erika! Sorry I took your glory, but I'm glad Nat was able to recognize you too!
